Phrase I never want to hear again

Unless you're speaking or writing about someone tossing, say, Lou Dobbs in front of a Greyhound, please never use the words "thrown under the bus" or its variants again.

Thank you.

I actually kind of like the phrase. It describes a particularly wrong betrayal.

The bus throwing seems to have become an epidemic lately...

I do it daily. Throw someone, that is.

For some reason, I think listening to the song "Bus Stop" might help...

Perhaps it was all started by a LOST fan (that's how an inconvenient person from the past was disposed of).

I'm going to stay far away from buses, just to be safe. Apparently, this can happen to anyone!!

I say we substitute the phrase, ". . . infected with multidrug resistant syphilis." As in, "Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld resigned in shame today, leading many to wonder why George W. Bush had infected him with multidrug resistant syphilis."
