It moved


The earth, that is. Never felt an earthquake before.

Weird. Felt like a truck hit the building.

Yeah, it was just a tiny wee quake here on L.I., and it got me out of the office for half an hour, so I'm not complaining.

You live on Long Island? I never knew that. Thought you were somewhere near Chicago.

Didn't feel a thing up in Montreal. Me and earthquakes have an odd history. I always miss one just by a couple of days. Flew out Oakland just two days before the great quake of '92. The last one I felt was the night I flew IN to Oakland. Almost spilled my drink -- that's why I remember it.
