By far, my favorite Google search that brought a visitor here:
the Velvet Cucumber billing department
It brought them to the June archive, because of this entry.
For the life of me, I can't figure out what this person was really searching for. What is the Velvet Cucumber??? Does it really have a billing department?
Come to think of it, that would make a great name for a band.
The ways of Google are indeed mysterious.

Mysterious, indeed. If you go to the June archive about pickles and such, and choose view, page source from the pull-down menu, you will find that there is the word 'velvet' and 'cucumber' (of course) and the rest is throughout the page as such:
'billing' 'department' is distributed about the page source as such:
'bill' = bill clinton (mentioned by you on your page)
'ing' = mindspring.com (a reference for theme scheme radio)
'de'= de7008 (a code for a certain color)
'par'= parent window (code document)
tm = html (hyper text markup language)
ent = document (document write)

If the user did not put quotation marks around the words, then google will find bits and pieces of it as it can.
I tried googling moon velvet billing department without quotation marks. I chose the first hit. I found moon on the page and velvet. billing was no where on the page, but if you choose view, page source I found 'bill' and 'ing' and 'department' was in the page source.
Well, probably more than you wanted to know but that is how a search engine searches. Going through line after line of source code. Boggles the mind.
That is also why they made the little tricks of +, - and quotation marks. And, if you really, really want to know you can go to www.howstuffworks.com and search for "search engines"
