Jim,
I played briefly in a band with Karl Wallinger from World Party. He and I were housemates at Daviesites, at Charterhouse boarding school in England.
Strangely enough, our drummer, Michael Giri, went on to play with the Lilac Times, which was founded by Duran Duran founder Stephen Duffy.
I had no idea World Party was still around.
But I am famous by association!
World Party hasn't had a new album in quite a while, but Wallinger toured in support of CD reissues a few years ago. Since it isn't really a band--just Wallinger and whatever mates he has close by--it can't ever really break up.
(If you don't have the "Egyptology" album, get it--it's a fave. Didn't spawn any hits, but nearly every track is good.)
I want a nonrandom 10--10 consecutive songs from the alphabetical list.
One of my favorite Elvis songs ever, bookended by one of my least favorite REM songs ever.
