Busy, busy

This is the busiest time of the year for me at work. I'd apologize for lack of posting through mid-Septemberish, but given my readership has dwindled to people doing Google searches on variations of "yogurt poop," I doubt that's going to be much of a problem.

I'll post the occasional link or YouTube video. How's that?

Here's Amy Rigby singing a song she co-wrote with Bill DeMain (of Swan Dive).

And here's a rather odd, lounge-singer-style cover I recently came across, by Laura Ainsworth:

I can't decide if I like this or not.

Quite the oddest pairing of lyrics and music I've ever heard. Creepy, too. Reminds me of when I would read text from physics books and turn them into lyrics, you know:"spiroperidol bind to membranes from the rat frontal cerebral cortex in a manner indicating a selective interaction with serotonin receptors. Differential drug potencies in competing for [3H]5-HT and [3H]spiroperidol binding sites suggest that these two [3H]ligands respectively label two distinct populations of receptors . . . " to the tune of Maxwell's Silver Hammer.
