One in three U.S. high school students say the press ought to be more restricted, and even more say the government should approve newspaper stories before readers see them, according to a survey being released today.
The survey of 112,003 students finds that 36% believe newspapers should get "government approval" of stories before publishing; 51% say they should be able to publish freely; 13% have no opinion.--USA Today
That's the most depressing thing I've heard all day. Of course, it's only 2:30 in the afternoon.

I'm not going to think about that right now. I'm going to save it and think of it some cockeyed day when I'm more in the mood to commit suicide. Then I'll think about it and if I'm at all serious, that news blip WILL PUSH ME RIGHT OVER THE EDGE!

The article also said:
"The newspaper also questioned requirements that students register their cars with the school to get parking passes."
Now, I realize that may have been just an academic exercise, but, I've had to register my car to get a permit. Does that infringe on 1st Amendment rights?
Not sure if it's ignorance or just teens being contrary. But it scares me anyway.
