Fantasy... at least from "Dad's" perspective. But those high-waisted trousers that "Brother" was wearing? Definitely horror.
I laughed at that "as if they were happy to see him" line about when the father comes home. As if? So they aren't really? Hmmm.
Makes me think of one of my favorite scenes from Annie Hall: the split screen showing Alfie's dysfunctional Jewish family and Annie's dysfunctional Protestant family at the dinner table. Hilarious writing.
I WANT THAT CAKE.
Was this meant for a certain audience? I mean, why would someone go to the bother and expense to film this? And...
Who was making all that food?
I can't put my finger on it, but something about that was really disturbing to me.
That film was great.
