So, Julia Child was a spy. Or was she?

One thing's for sure: She was a one-of-a-kind TV presence.

Pretty busy the next few weeks. Expect posts to be even more half-assed than usual.

I read a roman a clef written by Julia's executive chef for TV, in which her Julia Child-inspired character is blackmailed by someone who claims to have proof that the character's late husband tried to buy nuclear materials; it ends up being that he *did* try to buy the nukes--as an undercover agent.
