I admire the psychedelic properties and symmetry of these illustrations--it's like a Busby Berkeley number on your plate!--but Velveeta on shrimp? Oh, my. That is wrong on too many levels to even count.
Also, for those of you too chicken to look at the full glory of this, let me present the ingredient list of the Supper Sandwiches: Toast. Peanut butter. Sweet pickle relish. Velveeta sauce.
NOTE: Will asks me to point out that his mother was a huge Julia Child fan and he has NO IDEA why these culinary monstrosities were in her recipe file.

I knew someone who liked pickle and peanut butter sandwiches, but I think even she would have been nauseated by the velveta sauce topping.
The worst is the broiled sandwiches - includes partially broiled bacon that is then broiled so that the remaining fat renders into the mayonaise you spread on the white bread. Ralph!
I think the parsley is supposed to make it all better.
I went through a Velveeta/Kraft Macaroni and Cheese fax decades ago when I was saving for the down payment on my first purchased abode. I was going to write a letter to the folks at Kraft telling them that 99.99% of the molecules in my body were made from their products; but, I realized they might send me some gift certificates.
Dave -- Kraft is recalling you, I think.
JohnnyB -- I still eat peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. They're not bad.
Culinary mistakes. Apples in curry. Trifle. Rice pudding. Peanut butter.
To quote Alois Hitler, Adolf's half-brother and restaurateur: "Die Velveeta ist eine gro∫∫en horreur muchen kommst Cheez Viz aber Cheez Viz ist Tästier mit Himmelbrot, ich tinken."
This is so, so wrong. SO wrong. But I LOVE the retro design!
