Quote of the day

We have so much in common. We both like soup. And the outdoors, and snow peas. We can talk or not talk about anything for hours and still never run out of things to not talk about.

Whoever IDs the source of that quote first gets a gold star.

Wow, you move fast for a pregnant lady! "Best in Show" it is. Jennifer Coolidge, who has that line, cracks me up.

Hey Deb, you're all messed up! Go have your baby already.

A Mighty Wind was on earlier in the week. How I love these Guest masterpieces.

It's not just the line that's funny, but the visual. The octogenarian husband's deadpan expression while she's talking is equally hilarious. A perfect Anna Nicole Smith parody moment.

Gina, you're just jealous i got the gold star. The first Guest movie I saw was Spinal Tap, in the study lounge at school... I was so confused, couldnt understand why I hadnt heard of them before. ah. Naivety. and beer.

Here's one..

"You know? If they didn't have the model trains, they wouldn't have gotten the idea for the big trains."

Not to be too nerdy, but "Spinal Tap" wasn't solely a Guest movie - he wrote it conjunction with Rob Reiner and others, and Reiner directed. "Best in Show" and the others were written (in part) and directed by Guest.

I'm just referring to these as "GUEST" involved movies. He has the golden touch, you must admit. My all time favorite is Princess Bride, another Reiner/ Guest involved movie.

INCONCEIVABLE!

INCONCEIVABLE!

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Damn. I love that movie!

I love that movie too. As a result, I tend to pronounce the names of nuts in a slow Southern drawl.

Macadamia nut...that would just send my mother off. "Harlan Pepper, would you stop naming nuts."
