Revenge of the copy editors

On its theatrical release, the movie below was titled The 40 Year-Old Virgin.

But look carefully at the new DVD case:

Yes, they added the missing hyphen (40-Year) that was driving me crazy (occupational hazard*).

*As a copy editor, not a virgin, you perv.

Haven't seen it, but I know how to spell it.

I didn't know the 40-year-old virgin was a copy editor.

What has always bugged me about Steve Carell in this poster is he looks like this asshole I dated in '95. Freakishly like him. All i can picture is Doug yelling at me for "waking him the wrong way" and "not making good enough gravy on Christmas" F**ker.

I did actually meet a 40 year old virgin, and he didnt look a thing like Steve Carell. that was in '97.

Hooray for us copyeditors!!

When I am the Great Queen Copyeditor, I will issue a Royal Decree that all movie posters (and other promotional material) must be copyedited by a copyeditor holding a Royal License.

And, copyeditors holding said Royal License will be empowered to force anyone to correct their signs or menus, upon pain of imprisonment in the Royal Dungeon.

I have to sniff at the notion of Ms. Yvonne meeting a 40-year-old virgin... This couldn't have been Penn State!
